What is V port control ball valve

What is V port control ball valve

V port control ball valve has the V type gap in the valve plug which will do wedge-shaped sheared action when the V port control ball valve is closed, which not only has self-cleaning function but also can prevent being stuck from the dirt between plug and seat. V port Control ball valve is not only for the general media but also special for controlling the medium of slurry, drainage, fiber and small particles.
V port control ball valve equipped with pneumatic or electric actuator can meet various control requirements, V port control ball valve is widely used in the control systems of electric power, petroleum, chemical, metallurgy and papermaking.

V port control ball valve feature:

  • Flow control – The precision of 30° & 60° V-Balls offer equal percentage flow characteristics, that are not normally associated with a standard ball valve. The ball of V port control ball valve can be positioned anywhere between 0° and 90°, allowing the user to control the desired flow rate they require. Furthermore, when fitted with a modulating actuator this will provide a better flow control accuracy than a standard bore ball valve.
  • Bubble tight shut off – V port control ball valve has soft seats with bubble tight shut off and can control or shut off bi-directional flow. As no additional shut off valves are required, v-balls are cost efficient and reduces the number of components in the system for the user.
  • Higher shut-off pressure – The 90° ball rotation allows the V-Ball to shut off at higher working pressures.  Thus, allowing lower torque actuators to be used, resulting in cost saving and higher efficiency for the end user.
  • Flexibility – The advantage of v port ball valve is the flexibility, whether you require 50% stainless steel filled PTFE seats for steam applications or PTFE for water/ air application or end connections can be changed to meet the site requirement i.e. screwed BSP, socket weld, butt weld & flanged.
